Collected | No .002
A weekly log from my little space. Some hobbies, some work, the good stuff.
Inside: interesting finds, hobbies from the week, bits from The Lost Shelf desk, a little trivia and game, and a little something to leave with.

From The Lost Shelf Desk
Building a slow joy and curiosity-centered business.
Some things done on my to-do list this week ✔️
Drafted a workbook aligned with the framework of Collecting Wonder. I think this is solidifying as the foundation for my work in Lost in the Nooks. At it’s core it’s cyclical. It’s memory work → curiosity → practice → preservation. I’m soooooo excited about this. The workbook is about 30ish pages so far and I created it with lots of love (and a few games because it wouldn’t be me otherwise). I designed a logic puzzle game like Murdle for the first time. Very cool. I will figure out the launch date for this soon.
Updated TLS website, again. I will likely separate The Lost Shelf and Lost in the Nooks into two distinct, but connected entities. TLS will hold the bookish side - curating on bookshop, archival research consulting, and perhaps antiquarian bookselling. LITN will focus on the present, slower living stuff - collecting and preserving joy, awe, delight and wonder in everyday life. The things we create in LITN may one day turning into things we collect and research in TLS whoop.
Accountability check-ins with other small biz folks.
Marketed Collecting Wonder. Hi, again if you’re reading this, again, and are considering the workshop reach out to me or enroll here!
Where I was stuck
Time management. As things shift, I have to get into a new routine with the amount of time I’m spending on any one task. Too many late nights this week!
What came with ease
Creating the workbook. Ideas are fruitful!
Being in flow. You know the zone out, get it done, sorta flow? I had quite a few sessions of that this week and it was beautiful.
Hobbies this Week
Where curiosity and creativity thrive.
Bookbinding
More binding :) I created the covers for the next two journals using some fabric I’ve had sitting around since 2018. Gluing can be so messy, and if you know how to make beautiful corners let me know!
Reading
If you read last week’s Collected, I was reading Sipsworth as a buddy read, but I ended up returning it to the library. My buddy was still on hold for their copy for a good long while, so I decided to just pick it it back up closer to the time we will get to chat about it. For now I’m reading ABC for Book Collectors and Blk Mkt Vintage by Jannah and Kiyana Handy in prep for the antiquarian book seminar.
Lego
I haven’t finished this yet, but started this little garden shop lego! It’s actually not the lego brand, so building blocks. Ha.
Let’s Play
A little something to *puzzle* over. heh.
